The SWA Tax Team is made up of 28 Warriors, each possessing a Servant’s Heart and a Fun-LUVing Attitude. Together, we take care of all things “tax” for Southwest. Our work is performed almost entirely in-house, and we keep our fingers on the pulse of the Company at all times.
Here are some examples of the types of taxes that the Team is responsible for handling (including tax planning, tax research, tax compliance, and managing any associated audits) in each international, U.S. domestic, state, and local taxing jurisdiction served by SWA:
The SWA Tax Team places an emphasis on the development and growth of its Employees. Training and cross-training are key to the department’s ultimate success. Each year, numerous training opportunities are extended to each and every member of the Team. We strive, continuously, to improve our processes and to increase productivity.
