DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for broadening the awareness of Southwest Airlines Cargo through inside sales support.
Assist with national account management and account maintenance.
Follow up on new cargo leads and disseminate to Sales Team as needed.
Performs various duties, including rate agreement distribution, generating ad-hoc sales reports, Customer database management, and other responsibilities as needed.
Serve as Liaison between Cargo Sales and Cargo Finance.
Assist with organizing various cargo sales related events including sales blitzes, sales meetings, trade shows, Customer appreciations, and other events as needed.
Orders, maintains, and manages the budget for Cargo and Charter promotional items.
Create and distribute communications and collateral to Corporate Sales Team and Customers.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
Progress towards major/minor in Marketing, Business or related degree.
Minimum junior level.
To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours).
Maintained 2.75 or above cumulative GPA.
Sophomores or Juniors preferred. Please include your graduation date on your resume.
Sales experience/interest is preferred.
Previous Customer Service experience preferred.
Proficient with basic Microsoft Excel functions are preferred.
Experience using Customer Relationship Management system (SalesForce software) preferred.
Event planning experience preferred.
Professional written and verbal communication skills, and ability to speak publically before an audience.
Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as a part of a team.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and complete assignments with tight deadlines.
Must be detailed oriented and ability to work with a sense of urgency.
Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
