    Responsibilities

    Description Responsibilities:

     

    This internship is designed to support the maintenance department within Material Stores teams. In this position the intern may have the opportunity to assist with cycle counts, rotable audit reviews, tool room analysis, process mapping, outstation support and use 5S or Lean Six Sigma process improvement methodologies. As part of this job, the intern, may be required to assist with a variety of projects related to aviation supply chain. This position will interact with Purchasing, Repairs, Inventory Management, Warehouse and Operations.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

     

    High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

     

    Must be at least 18 years of age.

     

    Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

     

    Education:

     

    Progress towards degree in Aviation Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, or relevant Aviation background and any 4 year degree program.

     

    Minimum sophomore level required.

     

    To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full time student (minimum 12 credit hours).

     

    Maintained 2.75 or above cumulative GPA.

     

    Skills/ Abilities/ Knowledge:

     

    Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) is preferred.

     

    Knowledge and/or experience using 5S or Lean Six Sigma process improvement methodologies preferred.

     

    Commitment to critical and analytical reasoning.

     

    Excellent communication and time management skills.

     

    Self-motivated and team oriented.

     

    Ability to sit and stand while working on computer for extended periods of time.

     

    Demonstrated interest and involvement in aviation preferred.

    TIME COMMITMENT:

     

    Full-time - 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday).

     

    Some travel may be required.

     

    PAY:

     

    $15.00/hr + flight privileges
