    Responsibilities

     

    The mission of the Technical Operations department is to provide Safe, clean, reliable and ontime aircraft for our Customers, while continuously conquering costs and always providing a positive work environment for our Employees. The vision is to be regarded as the safest, most compliant, and most productive Technical Operations organization in the industry.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    The Intern will work full-time as a team member of the Airworthiness Directive (AD) Compliance Department.

     

    Various size projects in maintenance or engineering and control environment

     

    Reviews compliance documents for accuracy and completeness

     

    Assist the Engineering and Maintenance with projects and assignments

     

    Assist in development of tools to help ensure Maintenance and Engineering metrics related to the performance goals are accurate and complete

     

    Analyze maintenance and engineering data in support of compliance reporting

     

    Task assignments will include research, filing, and scanning of maintenance and engineering related documents to ensure compliance and proper documentation.

     

    Candidate will also be expected to perform some data entry with supervision as well as assist in special audits.

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

     

    Must be at least 18 years of age.

     

    Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

     

    EDUCATION:

     

    Progress toward a degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Aerospace Engineering, Maintenance Science, or related degree required.

     

    Minimum level accepted: Sophomore.

     

    Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours.)

     

    Must be maintaining an overall GPA of 2.75.

     

    SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

     

    Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)

     

    A&P or Pilots license preferred.

     

    Planning, strong problem solving ability and written/verbal communications skills needed.

     

    Ability to stay organized and manage multiple and concurrent assignments.

     

    Works well in a culture that is open, direct, respectful, courteous and compassionate.

     

    Quick learner, self-motivated, team oriented, with a sense of humor.
