    Responsibilities

    The Ground Operations (GO) department is looking for a Central Baggage Analyst Intern to help them with their daily functions including the analysis of existing GO processes, developing ideas to improve processes and leading tests in GO Stations. Intern candidates for this position need to possess strong communications skills, strong analytical skills and experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    Research and document process flows

     

    Project Management

                                                                

    Change Management

     

    Design, Test, and Model processes

     

    Create a proof of concept for process changes

     

    Lead a proof of concept

     

    Make Recommendations to Leadership based on proof of concept

     

    Build spreadsheets, enter and analyze information

     

    Perform a variety of special job functions as requested by Leadership

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

     

    Must be at least 18 years of age.

     

    Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

     

    EDUCATION:

     

    Progress towards degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Aviation related field.

     

    Minimum Junior level.

     

    To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full time student (minimum 12 credit hours).

     

    Maintained 2.75 or above cumulative GPA.

     

    EXPERIENCE:

     

    Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

     

    Change Management experience is preferred.

     

    Process Measurement/Improvement Experience is a preferred (e.g., Six Sigma)

    Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as a part of a team.

     

    Strong oral and written communication skills.

     

    Analytical thinking/reasoning skills.

     

    Problem solving skills.
