    Responsibilities

    WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

    • Coordinates and supervises aircraft repair and overhaul by Airframe Essential Maintenance Providers, identifying areas requiring improvement, and coordinating corrective actions between SWA and Providers in accordance with SWA MPM.
    • Ensures production and financial goals are being met.
    • Assists an Airframe Essential Maintenance Provider in obtaining resources needed to effectively perform work on SWA aircraft, evaluating and advising the Provider of technical acceptance for repairs by coordinating with Maintenance and Engineering Departments, OEM, and FAA, as necessary, to ensure repairs are in accordance with approved data. 

    Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.

     

    May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.

    Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

    Must be at least 18 years of age.

    Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

    WORK EXPERIENCE: 

    • Minimum of 10 years experience in heavy aircraft maintenance.  

    LICENSING/CERTIFICATION: 

    • A&P License.

     

    SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

     

    • Knowledge of Boeing repair schemes and technical manuals.
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be willing to work odd shifts, odd days off and overtime.
    • Must possess the ability to read and understand documents, instruments, and test equipment.
    • Must possess the ability to reason and make sound decisions and handle the stress of a Management position.
    • Must have the ability to hear and detect problem areas during inspections.
    • Must be able to work under tight time constraints to accomplish assignments and projects.
    • Must be able to travel when necessary; international travel may be required.
    • Must possess or be eligible for United States passport. 

    Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
