The Operational Strategy & Performance Department is tasked with the responsibility of monitoring, reporting, forecasting and analyzing operational performance of Southwest Airlines and providing clear understanding of Reliability, Productivity, Hospitality and Cost. Additionally, this Department provides strategic vision and project support for initiatives that directly impact the operational performance of the Company.
The Strategy and Analytics Team promote and support collaboration of Strategies, Planning and Analytics between all Operational Teams and across the Business. They arm decision-makers across the company with analysis and support to inform future decisions in regards to planning and execution of projects and initiatives. The overall function focuses on continuous improvements in the operational processes across the airline with a focus on and balance between cost savings and reliability improvement.
