Responsibilities

The Mobile Web and Apps Strategy Intern will work on the Mobile Web and Apps Strategy Team within the Marketing Department. This Team creates the roadmap and strategy for the mobile digital experience which includes the iOS, Android apps, and mobile website. We maintain the three platforms by prioritizing defects and stories, and informing the appropriate parties on new features before they are released. Furthermore, we use analytics, competitive data, and conduct usability testing to enhance the apps and mobile web.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Intern will support the day-to-day product management of the mobile apps and mobile website.

 

Performs quality check of features in upcoming releases and supports app releases.

 

Help analyze data to determine user trends and overarching performance themes.

 

Perform competitive analysis of other airlines and digital trends so we can better understand the landscape.

 

Research market trends to help inform new features and functionality.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

 

Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Progress towards degree with major/minor in Marketing, Business, Social Science, Information Science, Advertising, Communications, or related degree.

 

Minimum junior level.

 

To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours).

 

Maintained 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

Proficient in MS Office Suite (must have Excel and PowerPoint experience).

 

Experience with Adobe Analytics or app/website prototyping tools such as Flinto, Mirr.io, or Axure preferred.

 

Knowledge of Jira (a project management based tool) is a plus.

 

Experience with Marketing capstone course, on campus marketing-related job, and/or marketing internship is a plus.

Analytical and creative thinking skills.

 

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

Project management skills.

 

Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as a part of a Team.

 

Knowledge of digital landscape and development, preferably in mobile platform.

 

General interest in mobile app strategy.

 

Must be detailed-oriented.
