Responsibilities

The Customer Strategy Intern will work on the Customer Strategy Team within the Marketing Department. The Customer Strategy Team is part of the Marketing Strategy Team, which also includes Strategy groups focused on Local Markets and System-wide efforts. Customer Strategy looks at data about our Customers to determine our target Customers and relevant tactics to employ. Working with the rest of the Marketing Strategy Team, Customer Strategy brings a Customer focus on all projects to influence the go-to-market plan for the department.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Intern will be exposed to Customer Segment Strategies development and tracking, including concept ideation, development, launch, and ongoing maintenance.

 

Research and maintain knowledge base of competitive Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives.

 

Attend cross-functional meetings.

 

Report on status and performance of various campaigns and support planning functions.

 

Serve as the liaison with multiple internal Teams.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

 

Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Progress towards degree with major or minor in Marketing, Business, or related degree.

 

Minimum junior level.

 

To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours).

 

Maintained 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

 

Leadership experience on campus preferred.

 

Previous part-time work experience or previous internship preferred.

 

Membership in an organization or club related to Marketing/Business is preferred.

 

Must be able to maintain confidential information.

 

Must be willing to contribute during brainstorming sessions, and actively participate from concept to execution.

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

 

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

Ability to show initiative and be a self-starter.

 

Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as a part of a Team.

 

Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and complete assignments with tight deadlines.

 

Must be detailed oriented.
