Responsibilities

The Brand Communication Intern will work on the Brand Team within the Marketing Department. This Intern will support initiatives for the following three branches within the Brand Team: Communication, Strategy, and Creative. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Intern will assist with projects including, but not limited to:

 

Airport and Inflight Merchandising.

 

Broadcast, Internet, and Print Advertising.

 

Branded entertainment and licensing (design, placing, & ordering).

 

Monitor Social Media Brand Presence.

 

Updating databases.

 

Prize fulfillment.

 

Possible travel, including site visits and photo shoots.

 

Intern will be exposed to client side of advertising from concept to finished product, focusing on agency management.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

 

Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Progress towards degree with major or minor in Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, or related degree.

 

Minimum junior level (60+ credit hours).

 

To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full time student (minimum 12 credit hours).

 

Maintained 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.

 

Experience:

 

Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.

 

Relevant coursework such as media planning, ad campaigns, ad research, ad planning, or creative development is a plus.

 

Familiarity with all media channels is a plus.

 

Previous internship or work experience in an advertising agency, or for a client is preferred.

 

Experience creating strategy for advertising campaigns preferred.

 

Project Management experience preferred.

 

Advertising capstone coursework or case competition involvement is a plus.

 

Previous part-time work experience or prior internship preferred.

 

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge/Work Style:

 

Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

 

Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as a part of a Team.

 

Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and complete assignments with tight deadlines.

Time Commitment:

 

Full-time 40 hours per week.

 

PAY:

 

$15.00 per hour + flight privileges
